Australia Brisbane Mission

 This is our whole mission!  The Australia, Brisbane Mission!  The Ence's left June 30.  President & Sister Vongsawad were supposed to arrive on June 30 but they both had Covid.  They did arrive on July 8th!  So glad they are here!  Our Zone conference is Tuesday so we will meet them then!

We took a Sky Walk through the Jungle.

We saw a frog hut.  It had lots of frogs!

We got to go see the glow worms. 

We couldn't take pictures in the glow worm cave.

The cave was all lit up and we got to see a 

very tiny worm close up with a light on it's bum!

They use saliva/spit to catch their food.

Close up the saliva looked like a tiny, tiny, chain!

Elders Thomas & Williams Birthdays

Happy Birthday to Elder Thomas & Elder Williams!

A Sister Missionary brought a chocolate cake.

I brought everyone a banana muffin 

from my Banana Bread Recipe.

See the muffin with the candle?

Elder Williams already ate his before the picture was taken!

Everyone loved the 'muffins'!

They said they have never liked banana cake.

But they loved mine!

They all want the recipe!

I didn't frost them because of time.

Our oven is only big enough to bake 12 at a time.

I baked the first 12 too long because I didn't hear the timer.

So I threw that batch away.

The other ones I took even though they were baked a bit longer than I liked!

But they loved them so that's all that matters!!!

Lover's Lane

Garth & Joanne Pitman graciously

 took us on a trip to Wivenhoe Damn.

On the way we found Queensland's Only Lovers Lane!

Had to stop and take pictures of this momentous place!

This is a mango tree.  

The Polynesians harvest it before it is fully ripe.  

They make some delicious meal out of them.
