Forest Lake Easter 🐣 Party

Tonight we went to an Easter Party at the Church.  Easter Holiday here begins on Friday and goes through Monday!  They had a dance contest between the youth, the men, the women and then couples. The couples won and we were part of that!  They had sausages, hot cross buns always go with hot chocolate, Pound cake, popcorn and Fairy Floss (Cotton candy in America).   We all sat in the parking lot on a beautiful moonlit🌜evening eating and watching a movie. 🍿  Also we enjoyed rainbows 🌈 and a corn  πŸŒ½ on the cob tree!!!  It rained ☔️ at first but the party went on!

APRIL ZONE CONFERENCE

April 12, 2022
Australia Brisbane Mission
Zone Conference

I received a Candy Bar for my Birthday!

A Lesson on Pride.  We all have it.
These suggestions will help us rid ourselves of Pride.

Beautiful Picture of Jesus Christ
in the Chapel by the Brisbane Temple.

Our lunch consisted of Steak Meat Pies, Mashed Potatoes, and Gravy.
 It was Delicious!

Elder Bennett & I started eating our meat pies with a fork and a knife.
Then I looked around and saw everyone eating it with their hands!

So we decided to join in on the fun!!!

If a missionary is going home they will decorate him or her with leis of candy.  Here is Elder Francia ready to leave the mission and start a new journey home.

We were able to attend our 1st Zone Conference on Tuesday.  I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. ❤️
  It was Amazing!
We discussed:
The Falling away, Reformation, and Restoration.
Becoming Like Christ
Overcoming Pride
Learning about the Ward Council
Repenting, changing to be like Jesus Christ
I was also pleasantly surprised by the outpouring of the Spirit I felt.
The Spirit truly shined through them.
They were so full of love for God and His Children, πŸ’œ truly committed to help their brothers and sisters Come Unto Christ πŸ¦…, and they had a great knowledge of the true doctrine of Jesus Christ ❤️
The Spirit was so strong and testified to me ‘This is truly Christ’s Church.’
We also heard a Beautiful musical number by some Beautiful Sister Missionaries!

Forest Lake District Activity

This Grasshopper is in the temple car park. It was huge! Car park means parking lot or parking place.

Here I am with some sisters and others and another senior sister. Our activity was bowling! Of course I won by getting 63! Ha ha no I lost!  πŸŽ³  πŸŽ³  πŸŽ³
Elder Bennett served on his computer doing Missionary work he needed to do!

Beautiful bottle brush tree. The first time I saw it so I had to take pictures!

🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼

Our first minute to win it. Put ping pong balls inside
an empty Kleenex box and then jiggle and jiggle
until all the balls fall out and you are the winner!  πŸ“
Place a straw in your mouth and suck up an m&m.  See how many can get from one bowl to the next and then if you get the most you win!
Tie a balloon 🎈 around your ankle. Try to not let your balloon get stepped on but try to pop everyone else’s playing around you. If you’re the last person without your balloon popped you win!

We had a super fun district activity!
Now back to the Lord’s work! 😁😁😁

Brisbane Australia Temple πŸͺ΄ πŸ’œ πŸͺ΄

We were blessed to attend the Brisbane Australia Temple today. It was part of a district activity. The sister in the picture is a service missionary who serves at the temple every Wednesday. The Elders are in our district. 🌷πŸͺ΄πŸ‡πŸŒ»πŸ‡πŸͺ΄πŸŒ· It certainly was a Beautiful Day! The Temple is a 30 minute drive from our house.

“With the Lord, families are essential. He created the earth that we could gain physical bodies and form families. He established His Church to exalt families. He provides temples so that families can be together forever.” πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Beautiful Day in Australia 🌼🌼

1. Today was my first drive in Australia! I drove to the laundromat which was about 5 miles away. This is the steering wheel. The blinker is on the right and the windshield wipers are on the left! What does it mean when you see a car that has its windshield wipers on and it’s not raining? It means that an American is driving! Ha ha. πŸš™πŸš™πŸš™
2.  Little lizard in our yard🦎🦎🦎
3. I found a mini cheesecake factory. The cheesecakes looked good! 🍰
4.  Elder Bennett found a happy meal during calls! ☎️
5.  Found some cute Australian houses on my walk.  πŸ‘🏑🏘🏑🏑
6.  Saw a “straw” fence.  πŸŒΎπŸŒΎπŸŒΎ
7.  Came up on a lot of birds screeching and squawking! πŸ€πŸ¦…πŸ¦‰πŸ¦
8.  More beautiful flower bushes!🌺🌸🌼
9.  Kangaroo playground 🦘🦘🦘
10. Australian postbox which is really an Australia mailbox
11. Elder Bennett planting his garden of tomatoes πŸ… and onions πŸ§…
12. Elder Bennett getting water from our rain barrel! πŸ’§☔️πŸ’¦πŸ’§☔️πŸ’¦πŸ’§
13. Found some American pancakes πŸ₯ž at Costco that were really made in France πŸ‡«πŸ‡·
14.  Have you heard of raisin bran? Well here is Sultana bran!  We found a big big box at Costco today! πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡
     What are Sultanas?
Sultanas have been a hit with Aussies for decades. ... Understanding sultanas, raisins and currants can be confusing; however, the essential difference is that sultanas are made from dried green grapes, raisins from dried purple or red grapes and currants from a smaller seedless variety of grape. Also in the picture are some flowers and seeds we planted in pots. πŸͺ΄πŸͺ΄πŸͺ΄
15.  Just some wonderful driving by Elder Bennett, getting us around Australia, driving on the left side of the road, going thru traffic circle after traffic circle, and keeping us safe! πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—
16.  Some gorgeous bush flowers!  Most of the flowers I see in Australia  πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί are grown on bushes!
17.   Good night πŸ’€ πŸŒ™ πŸ’€ from Australia. Picture taken

in our front yard. πŸπŸŒ™πŸ

Brisbane, Australia Temple

                  Birds on Angel Moroni! 🐦

We met with the Brisbane Temple President and his Wife on Wednesday, March 30.  We are hoping to be temple workers and President Gordon said he would make it happen. We were delighted to explore the Temple Gardens and see how beautiful they were!  The temple is about 30 minutes from our house.
