Can't wait to see the whole bush in full bloom!

From the internet I discovered the name 

and the progression of this flowering bush.

It starts out as a light purple bloom and

then it develops into a deep purple and then

the orange berries come on.

Beware!  If eaten, the fruit 

can cause gastro-intestinal irritation,

vomiting and diarrhea.

We Made It To Brisbane, Australia!

 March 23, 2024

And our adventure in Brisbane, Australia begins!  President Ence and 2 Elders met us at the airport.  They brought a van and a trailer for our 9 SUITCASES!  We and the luggage fit nicely!  We were driven to the mission home and then another senior missionary couple, Elder and Sister Granger, drove us to Forest Lake, our new home!  We live at 16 Stanford Place, Forest Lake, Australia.  

We're thankful to God for letting us 

come to Australia to serve Him.  

We're thankful our journey was safe.

Arriving in Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺

We arrived in Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 On Wednesday  morning March 23, 2024. We were able to see a beautiful sunrise and the most beautiful clouds!  We are so thankful to serve the Lord in Australia!

It truly is the beginning of a Great Adventure! ❤️

Divine Design 💕

As we sat waiting for our third leg of our flight to Sidney, Australia, we struck up a conversation with a young man who was from Australia and he was going to be on our flight.  He dealt with black opals which are only found in Australia.  Before our meeting Barry had gone to the desk and went through all the necessary procedures from the Australia app to be able to get on the plane. We informed him that he needed to go up to the desk and do the same thing or he wouldn’t be able to get on the flight. He had no idea that he had to fill out the form. The form was to declare covid status & exposure, testing results and  vaccination history.  He went to the flight attendant for help and she told him that it was his problem and that he could not get on the plane until it was filled out. We had the same problem at home and finally had to give all the information that Australia asked for on a real computer. Barry “just happened” to have a computer. Then the young man’s phone went dead. Barry “just happened” to have a portable power bank so he could get access to the information he needed.   Finally after several tries and many silent prayers to God Almighty the computer worked!  He was able to put all of his information on the questionnaire, and he was able to get on the flight just barely! Barry finished it up as the plane was boarding.  I looked him straight in the eye and told him God loved him and it was through his power that he was able to get on the plane.  It wasn’t Barry, it wasn’t me, it was God.  ❤️❤️❤️ Truly God performed miracles for this young man by meeting us. We had all the necessary things that he needed to help him get on that plane and God provided the rest!   I have never seen anyone so nervous and tense. He was shaking so bad!  When we saw him a couple of times he would say it was God! God loves all of his children and would do anything for them!  This was truly a miracle that we witnessed with our own eyes!  It was not a coincidence it was by divine design!

Family in Salt Lake City

 

Our layover in Salt Lake City was full of family!  Deserae, Cecily and Ryan, Beckett, Dean, Jana, and Miles all met us with happy smiles!  We ate lunch at the Blue Lemon, talked, and played around. Deserae and Cecily & Ryan and their family gave me a beautiful necklace representing me as a mom and my four children! Thank you everyone for making our journey happier and more pleasant!

March 21, 2022. On Our Way to Australia 🇦🇺

 On March 21, 2022, Elder Bennett & I began our trip to Brisbane, Australia at 11:45 a.m from Idaho Falls, Idaho.  We were two hours early to the airport and hardly anyone was there!   We flew to Salt Lake City, Utah, then to Los Angeles, California, then on to Sydney, Australia which took 16 Hours.  🇦🇺…. What a loooong trip!  Thank You to Joanna, Max is awesome, Zoey, Theo, and Mitchy for driving  Barry in the truck. Thank You My friend, Almedis Mueller for driving me to the airport.
