TIDY TURTLE AWARD

I like to crochet Turtles.  I thought, "What can I do with these turtles?"
An inspiration came to me.  I could give these turtles to the missionaries
whose flats are clean when we inspect them?  But what could I call them.
Another inspiration came and the turtles became
"THE TIDY TURTLE AWARD".
We handed out the 1st Tidy Turtle Awards today!
The missionaries loved it!

Cleaning a Flat

Our district had a Cleaning Day today.
We cleaned a flat that hadn't been lived in since Covid hit.
We had a fun time and I brought brownies to share!

I decided my pants weren't long enough so
I crocheted on them to be longer.
I love the outcome!

Zone Conference

 Zone Conference
The First Zone Conference with President & Sister Vongsawad.
They are from Oceanside, California.  She grew up in
the Church.  He was born in Thailand and moved with his family
to California when he was 6 years old.  He found the church
when he was 17 and was baptized.  He served a mission in Fiji.

Phoutaarack Ratsamyvong

This is Phoutarack Ratsamyvong.
We call her Phouta ~ Poota
She was born in Laos.
She escaped by
swimming across the Mekong River.
She put her clothes and belongings in
a bucket, put it around her neck and swam.
When she got to Thailand she became a
Buddhist Nun because people would respect her.
It's hard to understand the whole story but she was in
jail for a period of time also.
She was baptized a couple of years ago but
still doesn't have a grasp of the gospel.
We visit her, encourage her to read the Book of Mormon,
read the church pamphlets.
We did get her a Book of Mormon in Laos, and some pamphlets also.
Whenever she talks about God she always
calls him 'Father, God'.
One day we asked her to read out of the Book of Mormon.
When she finished she looked at us and smiled
and said God loves me!
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
She is a joy to visit!
She truly loves God and Prays Always!
I crocheted her this blanket.  She loved it!
She is around my age.
She has lived a totally different life.
A life of survival, a life of great faith!
